We will organise a Masterclass on 

each of the given topics 

once every month.

MASTERCLASS TOPICS:

 

1. PREPARING A BIONOTE THAT DRAWS ATTENTION

(long form bio and bio-brief)

 

2. CREATIVE THINKING

(for art and writing, mental health, relationship management, crisis management and decision making)

 

3. SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT PLANNING

(focused communication for unique self-branding)

 

4. CREATIVE WRITING FOR BEGINNERS

(identifying the story and producing audience-friendly content)

 

5. PERCEIVED 'MASCULINITY'

(identifying stereotypes; recognising toxic societal expectations; exploring the journey of inspiring male figures - in literature, cinema, history and reality) 

 

6. NARRATIVES OF GENDER

(How do men write women? How do women write men? How do they write about themselves and one another? What role do social, religious, and cultural contexts play in gendered narratives?)

 

7. NARRATIVES OF PEACE

(Can forgiving lead to peace? Can forgetting lead to healing? How do we find peace and healing through writing?)

 

8. NARRATIVES OF HUMOUR

(Humiliation is not humour. Develop an attitude of humour, work humour into your writing and your conversations!)

 

9. POETRY WRITING AND POETIC WRITING FOR BEGINNERS

(learn the interplay of language and words to create rhythm in verses or prose)

WHO CAN JOIN:

storytellers, writers, students across disciplines, teachers across disciplines, corporate professionals, self-employed professionals, entrepreneurs, home-makers.

Separate batch for (a) senior citizens and (b) children below 13 years.

 

 

REGISTRATION GUIDELINES:

1. Registration for each month will close on the 28th of the previous month. This means, if you wish to register for the Masterclass on Creative Thinking in April, you will have to complete your registration by 28th March.

 

2. Write an email to tmysacademy@gmail.com with the following information:

a. your bio/CV with photograph

b. which Masterclass you wish to attend (Please mention this IN THE SUBJECT LINE)

c. why you wish to attend this Masterclass (If you have any personal goal related to it, please specify; it will help us customise the deliverables as per your requirement)

d. which country you are from and which city you reside in

 

3. In the return email, we will let you know the fee for the Masterclass of your choice and our bank details. Once you have made the payment, your registration will be complete. We shall proceed towards discussing the schedule with you.

 

4. In case you have made the payment, but cannot attend the Masterclass on the agreed date for any unforeseen emergency we will include you in the batch for the next month. This is only subject to a valid reason for absence.

 

 

AFTER THE MASTERCLASS:

 

1. All participants will be invited to make ONE submission (poetry/ short story/ essay) in any ONE of our TMYS Review projects, launched in collaboration with the University of Victoria and Rupa Publishers. The submission fee for the same will be waived.

 

2. Publishing opportunity: TMYS Review is published in ebook and paperback formats available across the world via Amazon.

 

P.N. 

a. Submission does not necessarily mean selection. The decision of the editorial team will be final. However, if a particular submission is good, even if not the right fit for a particular project, we recommend it for other projects under the TMYS umbrella.

b. Serious participation in the Masterclass is mandatory.

 

3. Build a support group/ network of learners, dynamic professionals, writers and readers.

 

4. Some participants will get a chance to be promoted on our social media. This selection will be based on the participant's sincerity and active involvement in the masterclass.
